It’s been really fun getting to see all the new wedding trends! Some like the last dance, disposable cameras, and renting a beautiful car for your exit to take to your honeymoon (like pictured above) are all wonderful ideas.
As much as I love some of these trendy things, I also don’t love some of them. There has been a noticeable impact in expectations for so many couples. Couples are now thinking of having the wedding that will look good on social media. If you genuinely like the trends, then I believe it’s a wonderful idea! If you like a trend simply because of the fact that you think others would like it, then I wouldn’t make it a priority for your day.
I have personally seen many couples not fully enjoying their night because of the fact that they are too worried about making sure the “trendy things” are happening. They stress about the schedule because they jam-packed their day with them. I have been so blessed to have had my client couples be easy-going and very involved in the specialty of their day which is beautiful to witness and capture.
Your wedding day is a celebration of the two of you. Your wedding day should be about just enjoying your union as one whether it be a large wedding, an intimate wedding, an elopement, or a court wedding 🙂
